 5th International Congress "Flour-Bread '09" and the 7th Croatian Congress of Cereal Technologists "Brašno-Kruh '09", will take place in Opatija, Croatia from the 21st to 23rd October 2009. The main aim of this congress is to feature the latest advances and technologies in milling, baking bread, pasta, cookies, cake, breakfast foods, and others. The programme will include invited lecturers, oral presentations, posters and exhibition of process and laboratory equipment, cereal industry products and publications. IBA is by far the most important international specialist trade fair for bakers and confectioners. From 3 to 9 October 2009 it is taking place once again in Düsseldorf. Across a surface area of 123,000 m2, the German Bakers Confederation (Zentralverband des Deutschen Bäckerhandwerks) is hosting the most important trade fair in the industry in conjunction with the exhibition organiser GHM.

The 4th Central European Congress on Food (CEFood) is part of the series of regular Central European congresses, the most important events in the activities of Food, Technology, Nutrition and Health. First International Symposium of Gluten free Cereal Products and Beverages will be held from 12 to 14 September 2007 at University College Cork, Ireland. The 57th Annual Cereal Chemistry Conference will be held from 5-10 August, 2007 at the RACV Club in Melbourne. Themes for this year’s conference include Health & Nutrition, Industrial Opportunities, New Technologies for Cereal Production & Processing, Genetic and Molecular Basis of Cereal Quality, amongst others. The conference is an annual showcase of new ideas and concepts in cereal science as well as a great networking opportunity.
